Description
The landscape of Type-II Little String Theories (LSTs) is very sparse compared to its Heterotic counterpart. We show that this difference can be explained by analysing the bounds imposed on their flavor symmetries when demanding unitarity of the worldsheet theory. We then study Type-II LSTs from the bottom up through the associated Superconformal Field Theories, enabling us to identify T-dual pairs via certain duality-invariant quantities. Finally, we confirm the duality explicitely by giving a top-down geometric construction via F-theory.
