Visits to the Botanical Garden

We have reserved guided tours to the Padua Botanical Garden on Wednesday afternoon. The visits are paid by the conference. The number of available places is large, but still limited. To register for a guided tour please fill out this form The deadline has been extended to Thursday, June 20. We have added the possibility to add an accompanying person (subject to availability). Created in 1545, the Padua Botanical Garden is the oldest existing university botanical garden in the world and is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Other suggestions

The Giovanni Poleni history of Physics Museum houses several thousand instruments illustrating developments in science and technology from Renaissance to present days. It is considered among the most important international assemblages of unique and rare pieces. The museum is open to participants (visits are paid by the conference) on Wednesday afternoon from 17:00 to 18:30. Registration is not necessary.

The Scrovegni Chapel is a UNESCO world her tage site, famous all over the world for its extraordinary cycle of paintings by Giotto. Visits to the Chapel are not organised by the conference. You have to pay for your own ticket. Tickets include a visit to the close-by Eremitani Museum and to Palazzo Zuckermann. Interested participants are encouraged to book a visit as early as possible because availability is limited.
