Quantum Sensing School
In addition to their intrinsic scientific appeal, quantum effects are becoming increasingly important as tools for probing the frontiers of fundamental physics. This school aims to review recent advancements in quantum techniques for ultra-sensitive experiments, targeting PhD students working in these fields.
After providing a theoretical and experimental overview, the lectures will cover topics such as superconducting circuits, dilution refrigeration, squeezing and parametric amplifiers, quantum hardware control, and molecular manipulation for EDM measurements.
In addition to the lectures, hands-on lab activities will be organized for groups of students on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Josephson Parametric Amplifiers. These sessions will take place at the Department of Physics at the University of Padova and the INFN Legnaro Laboratories.
The school is organized within the framework of the "Quantum Frontiers" project, which will cover meals and accommodation for participants.
