The social event of PR'22 will take place on Villa Barbaro in Maser, located on the southern hills of Dolomiti mountains which have been added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1996.
Villa Barbaro was designed around 1550 by the famous architect Andrea Palladio as a prestigious venue for the agricultural estate of the noble Venetian brothers Daniele and Marcantonio Barbaro. Later the Villa was decorated by the painter Paolo Veronese, representing nowadays a little treasure of the Venetian Reinaissance.
Since the beginning, also wine has had an important role in the life and economy of the Villa and the historic winery built in 1850 is still used to produce wines exported all around the world, such as Prosecco DOC, Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay and Verduzzo.
After a visit to the Villa and its fascinating surroundings, we will experience a guided wine tasting of the wines produced in the Villa Barbaro, along with some local food products.
