The study of the W boson properties is one of the method to experimentally test the Standard Model. Recently, the CDFII experiments has published a very precise measurement of the W boson mass, MW, using data corresponding to 8.8 inverse femtobarns of integrated luminosity collected in proton-antiproton collisions at a 1.96 TeV center-of-mass energy at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The result has triggered lively discussion in the community. In this seminar we will present and discuss the result obtained by CDFII together with the current LHC measurements.
The seminar can be followed remotely via zoom webinar: https://unipd.zoom.us/j/83919160787
