In this two-fold seminar, I will first show the latest determinations of the Dark Matter distribution in the Milky Way, and how its state-of-the-art uncertainties affect determination of physics beyond the standard model, in specific scenarios. In the second half, I will comment on the possibilities for the Cherenkov Telescope Array to detect an exotic component of gamma-rays -generated from DM annihilation- in the Large Magellanic Cloud, building the high energy sky model for this CTA Key Science Project.
