Transfer reactions and deformation

We will focus in this seminar on two different interesting applications of transfer reactions and nuclear deformation. We will show how one-neutron transfer can shed light on the structure of halo nuclei, especially when the halo nucleus is in a deformed region of the Segrè Chart. On the other hand, we will discuss on the possibility of using two-neutron transfer as a probe to disentangle cases of shape coexistance and Quantum shape-phase transitions along different isotopic chains.
