The non-axisymmetric structures in the Chilean Cluster Evolution Survey

Description
The 4-metre Multi-Object Spectroscopic Telescope (4MOST, de Jong+11) is a multiobject spectrograph with up to ~2400 fibres and spectral resolutions of 5000 and 20000, distributed over a field-of-view of 4.2 square degrees mounted in the VISTA survey telescope capable of survey a large fraction of the southern sky in a few years. 4MOST is already mounted and system verification and commissioning campaigns and Survey Programme Validation were successfully finalized. The 4MOST-SPV campaign was designed to test the survey strategies and scientific readiness of the 4MOST facility. For this purpose, CHANCES designed different experiments to test our survey strategies. The CHileAN Cluster Galaxy Evolution Survey, will study the evolution of galaxies in and around ~150 massive galaxy clusters, from the local Universe out to z ~ 0.45. It will target ~300 000 rAB < 20.4 galaxies with 4MOST, providing comprehensive spectroscopic coverage of each cluster out to 5R200. Its wide and deep scope will trace massive and dwarf galaxies from the surrounding filaments and groups to the cores of galaxy clusters, enabling the study of galaxy pre-processing and the role of the evolving environment on galaxies. In this seminar I will present preliminary results of the detection of non-axisymmetric structures (bars, lopsided disks, arms) of the two SPV clusters in the context of their stellar properties (i.e. age, metallicity) and their location within the LSS in and around these dense environments.
