Description
We investigate the interaction between photons and a scalar dark matter field, and propose a single-arm interferometric scheme to detect its effects and constrain the parameter space of scalar dark matter models. By considering a coherent light beam combined with two spatially separated squeezing operations, we show that the photon–scalar dark matter interaction induces a measurable deviation in the outgoing optical state with respect to the free-evolution case. This suggests that single-arm squeezed interferometry can provide a novel method for probing scalar dark matter.
