The first two workshop days, featuring lectures and presentations, will take place on 3rd and 5th March at the Universidad Favaloro, a meeting point for students and professionals in medical sciences and biomedical engineering, and in particular a major training center for medical physics professionals in Argentina. During this session, several representatives of Italian and Argentine research groups will address various topics related to the current state of research in radionuclide-based diagnostics and therapies. The possibility of remote participation will also be offered, following a schedule compatible with the Central European time zone (link in the Online room section). At the end of the sessions, dedicated time will be allocated to the discussion of the topics addressed and of potential Italian-Argentine collaborations. These discussions will be coordinated by the Department of Nanomedicine and Precision Medicine and by the Department of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT), which has expertise in precision dosimetry.
Between these two days, on 4th March, there will be the possibility to attend the CUIA Institutional Day at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Buenos Aires.
Finally, a third workshop day, including additional talks and a guided visit to the laboratories of the Department of Nanomedicine and Precision Medicine of the CAC-CNEA, will be organized on 6th March. The program will incorporate theoretical-practical presentations and laboratory visits that, taken together, constitute a precision research platform in nuclear nanomedicine at this CNEA atomic center, a reference institution for research, development, and clinical application of radiation in the healthcare sector.
In the mornings of the three workshop days, an Argentine-style coffee break will be offered to the participants.
See the Venue section for more information about the workshop locations.
