Description
How do galaxies shape their morphology through time? What do we know about the oldest progenitors of the Milky Way? Can we time the onset of the Hubble sequence? The advent of JWST changed the way we looked at the most distant galaxies, providing new insights into their early assembly history from deep, high-resolution imaging at multiple wavelengths. In this talk, I will present some of the latest results about the morphological characterization of high-redshift galaxies, focusing on the buildup of the first complex morphologies in the early Universe.
