Abstract:
The Hubbard model is arguably the simplest lattice model of interacting fermions, yet many of its intricacies still elude us in two and higher spatial dimensions. Here we present a work-in-progress of tensor network simulations for the Hubbard model on a 2D square lattice. We introduce a novel technique to remove fermionic matter, and employ it to treat the problem with a regular (non-fermionic) tree tensor network. We discuss details of the mapping, technical points of the simulation, and the numerical results we have acquired so far.
