Scientific Programme

The invited speakers and attendees will discuss the current open challenges and state-of-the-art solutions necessary to further advance the applications of light in microscopy and novel analysis techniques.

Covered topics will include:

  • Advanced optical elements
  • Metasurfaces
  • Optofluidics
  • Neurophotonics
  • Optical tweezers
  • Structured light for microscopy
  • Two-photon microscopy
  • High-throughput imaging
  • Advanced microscopy techniques

The workshop aims to catalyze dialogue between young researchers from different scientific areas, promote the sharing of knowledge, and stimulate new research and collaboration perspectives in the fields of optics and photonics applied to advanced microscopy and neuroscience.

The event is intended in particular for master's degree students, Ph.D. students, postdocs and young researchers working in the fields of physical and biological sciences.

Promoting interdisciplinarity in the fields of photonics, optics, and imaging means opening the doors to limitless synergy, encouraging participation and collaboration between different but complementary profiles from different disciplines so that together they can illuminate new horizons of knowledge and innovation.
