Description

ESA science director Carole Mundell and scientists from the Euclid consortium will gather at ESA's European Space Operations Centre (Darmstadt) to present to the public and the press the first detailed astronomical images of the Euclid mission, designed to study dark matter and dark energy.

These images show Euclid's extraordinary potential and confirm that the telescope is ready for its scientific mission: to create the most extensive and accurate 3D map of the deep Universe to date.

The press conference will be broadcast live on ESA TV [1] and will be shown in the Rosino lecture theatre.

Mission participants from DFA, INFN and INAF of Padova will be present in Aula Rosino.
