Venue, transport and accomodation

The conference will take place at the Giove Convention Centre of the Best Western Plus Hotel Galileo, a 4-stars hotel located in Padua, a beautiful northern Italian city very close to Venice (half an hour by train).

The city of Padua appears twice in the UNESCO World Heritage List: for its Botanical Garden, the most ancient of the world, and the 14th-century Frescoes, situated in different buildings of the city centre (an example is the Scrovegni Chapel painted by Giotto at the beginning of 1300).

There are different ways to reach Padua: you can fly to any of the nearby airports (airports of Venice*, Treviso, Verona or Milan) and then, by train or bus, transfer to Padua railway station.

From the square outside the railway station, take bus n. 101 and get off at the Fiat – Padova (2 stops), 4 minutes walk from the Hotel Galileo. This way (bus + walking) takes a total of about 15 minutes to reach the Hotel Galileo from Padua railway station. Alternatively, you can take a taxi and reach the Hotel Galileo in about 5 minutes or on foot in about 20 minutes.

From our Conference location, you can reach the historical centre of Padua with a walk of about 25 minutes.

*From Venice Marco Polo airport you can easily reach Padua with a shuttle bus that arrives at the bus station next to the railway station. For more information click here.
