Title:

LBT Updates and Future Prospects as a Discovery Machine 

Abstract:

As the first of the Extremely Large Telescopes, the LBT provides unique capabilities for science that continue to evolve.  In this presentation I will summarize some recent developments and ongoing initiatives at the observatory that offer new prospects for advancing astronomical discovery.  Specific topics include progress with adaptive optics, changes to capabilities of existing instruments, and new instruments scheduled for commissioning over the next year.
