RR Frozen Singularities and their M-theory lifts

Abstract: Frozen singularities are geometric singularities supporting fractional flux. The flux often obstructs resolution moduli of the underlying purely geometric problem. Degrees of freedom at the singularity similarly reorganize. In the literature, these backgrounds have been parsed by identifying alternative favorable duality frames. In this talk I will explain how to analyze these directly, starting with RR frozen singularities in IIA.
