DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Martín Pico (IFT Madrid)\n\n\n\nConsistent truncati
ons have proven to be one of the main tools to study low-dimensional effec
tive theories of string theories. In this talk\, I will discuss how new U-
duality covariant formulations of higher-dimensional supergravities\, Exce
ptional Generalised Geometries (EGG) and Exceptional Field Theories (ExFT)
\, can be used to classify the possible consistent truncations that can be
obtained from such higher-dimensional supergravities. As an application\,
I will introduce a new D=4 maximal\, tromboneful gauged supergravity rele
vant for the physics of M5-branes first obtained by EGG techniques and sho
w how ExFT can be used to obtain a subsector of the global Kaluza-Klein sp
 ectrum of masses.\n\n\n\nhttps://indico.dfa.unipd.it/event/1909/
