Complex systems rely on efficient information exchange among interconnected components, making it crucial to understand how perturbations disrupt this communication. In this talk, I present a density-matrix framework that uses diffusion dynamics and multiscale propagation to quantify information flow between specific groups of nodes. Building on this framework, I introduce the concept of functional fragility to characterize how sensitive these communication patterns are to structural disruptions. This approach offers a distinct, dynamical perspective on the interplay between network topology, information routing, and system robustness.
