DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Enrico Peretti (INAF-OAA & APC)\n\n\n\nWide-opening-
angle winds and collimated jets are ubiquitous across several scales in th
e Universe. These outflows often develop strong shocks and turbulence\, w
here high-energy particles can be efficiently accelerated. In this seminar
\, I will discuss models in which diffusive shock acceleration plays a key
role in energizing particles in astrophysical outflows. Applications of
the spherical outflow model include young massive stellar clusters\, starb
 urst galaxies\, ultra-luminous X-ray sources\, and ultra-fast outflows in
active galactic nuclei\, while the collimated jet model is applied to pro
 tostars\, microquasars\, and Seyfert jets. Finally\, I will discuss the m
ulti-messenger implications of these scenarios in terms of high-energy pho
 tons\, neutrinos\, and escaping cosmic rays.\n \n\nJoin Zoom Meeting  \n
