We developed a setup combining synchrotron X-ray total scattering with fast differential scanning calorimetry to track atomic-scale structural changes in a Pd-based metallic glass during rapid thermal scans, revealing millisecond-resolved, cooling-rate-dependent transformations. The results uncover how thermal history and enthalpic state govern structural relaxation in metallic glasses.
