To acquire a deep understanding of high-energy processes occurring in astrophysical sources, coordinated observations are required, providing information from different messengers, including electromagnetic radiation, gravitational waves, cosmic rays, and the focus of this talk: neutrinos.
Neutrino observatories such as IceCube and KM3NeT offer a natural starting point for joint observations, given their continuous uptime and wide sky coverage. This makes the implementation of online systems that can issue alerts to interested parties essential. In this talk, I present a general overview of neutrino astrophysics in a multimessenger context, along with the current status of neutrino alert systems.
