Description
The ``QUasars as BRIght beacons for Cosmology in the Southern hemisphere'' (QUBRICS) project aims to identify the brightest and high-redshift QSOs in currently available surveys using machine-learning methods. In the talk I will illustrate the adopted methods focusing on CCA (Canonical Correlation Analysis) and XGBoost, as well as presenting the reverse-selection heuristic aimed at improving selection completeness. Finally, I will show the QUBRICS results obtained so far.
