INAF S21 In-Kind Contribution to Rubin Observatory - LSST

Description

Since  2021 INAF actively collaborated with the Vera Rubin Observatory.  The INAF collaboration organized as an In-Kind Contribution has several programs approved by LSST under the responsibility of Massimo Brescia And Claudia Raiteri.

Two of these programs are devoted to the AIV on site of the telescope and its optics. During 2023 we started regularly to work in shifts at the site to bring the telescope operative. In the seminar after a short description of the Observatory, the status of the project is presented focusing on what the S21 working package is contributing to the starting of the operations of the telescope.
