Description

Within the framework of European air quality monitoring regulations, modeling is becoming increasingly important to understand and manage the impact of atmospheric pollutants on the environment and public health. In this seminar, I will present the organization and functioning of air quality monitoring networks managed by the Regional Environmental Protection Agencies, with a specific focus on Liguria, highlighting data management and modeling applications. Lastly, I will explore potential synergies between atmospheric monitoring and astrophysical research, with particular attention to the role of LIDAR technology and the ALICEnet project.
